Im so happy about the outfits! And the way that the games coexist with all the block-like system! Not the greatest fan of how there seems to be two completely separate body meshes for style, and it cannot be mixed and matched. Regardless, very pleased with how this is playing out. Maybe due to how New Genesis's Physique Character is likely having extra details such as Skin Lustre and Moving Finger animations that cannot be pso2 sales transferred over to PSO2 base game, The only desire I had is that one day, they would patch every style to be mix and mash possible, such as for example, utilizing a CAST arm from NGS while the other parts are PSO2 parts to maintain the fingers moving etc..
Yeah it certainly has to do with fundamentally different body rigging on the new outfits, along with insufficient resources (time and money) to upgrade rigs on current outfits. Considering everything Sega is performing in the pictures overhaul, there's no way this limitation would be set up if it was a simple fix. And there a quite a great deal of outfits, particularly on JP side. I really hope they just gradually update clothing over time particularly the exclusive ones out of the product codes and collabs. I wouldn't mind if they make them into a separate NGS scratch if it is going to incentivize them to do so. This is actually nice. I really do hope though that they slowly update the aged PSO2 Outfits and Layered wears to allow finger movement down the line. Notably Collaboration outfits and layered wear (Half-Life, Persona, Anime Collabs, etc).
Sounds like a perfect opportunity for them....to sell them to you as Scratch items and call them the"GVS" something or versions. I'm confident they do upgrade them but it's more lucrative for them to sell you the remade from scratch outfits than providing them at no cost. Yeah, I totally expect them to go this route. I've worked in the industry previously and rigging up fingers is not hard work, the issue is how many costume things would have to be altered with no financial justification. Plus giving folks completely working things with all the benefits (on what is basically a brand new game) could deincentivise players buying the"new" stuff. Yeah. But with recolors and sell them as new instead of giving us the capability to recolor them freely. And then the ones that you can recolor costs exchanging scratch things to get a shade pass.
Personal speculation: PSO2 is being ported into the NGS motor to keep players occupied involving NGS content releases. No new content will probably be released for it outside of makeup, of which will be obtained/ported out of NGS events/scratches to have folks to play with that. It'll be eliminated after a couple of years after all the players have migrated and the only individuals in the PSO2 blocks are diehards holdouts/nostalgia. Probably. It is a new game so chances are similar to any Online RPG the first release will not have much about an endgame for the players who hit max level on day 1. It will be wonderful to just switch cubes anytime I wanna hit up an old UQ though. There is never a reason not to cheap Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta see magatsu.
